Professor Dr Marleen Rijkeboer is an endowed professor in personality disorders with the Department of Clinical Psychological Science at the Faculty of Psychology and Neurosciences at Maastricht University in the Netherlands.
She is a clinical psychologist/psychotherapist and also a supervisor and trainer in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Schema Therapy.
Marleen works as the chief practitioner at G-Kracht Amsterdam and specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of complex anxiety disorders and personality disorders.
She has also been active in several management roles.
From 2008 to 2012 Marleen was a member of the board of the International Society of Schema Therapy (ISST) and was operationally responsible for the ISST congresses in both Berlin (2010) and New York (2012). She is still a member of the Scientific Committee of the ISST.
In the Netherlands, Marleen is Chair of the Dutch Schema Therapy Society and she has organised, together with other board members, the Dutch Schema Therapy congress several times.
