Mieke Boots is a clinical psychologist as well as a supervisor and trainer in Cognitive Behavioural therapy and Schema Therapy. She is also a trainer and supervisor at the ISST, for adults, children and young adults.
For many years she has worked at the RIAGG (mental health services) Westelijke Mijnstreek and Virenze, as a child and adolescent psychotherapist, and has been running her own practice for more than 10 years.
She has completed a wide range of training in the field of Schema Therapy, for groups, adults and young adults. She has completed the Schema Therapy course for children and young adults offered by Christoph Loose in Germany. She has also completed body-oriented sensorimotor approach training (level 1 and 2) and a basic EMDR training.
As a trainer, for several years she has given training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with children and adolescents within the mental health and psychology programme. Since 2015 she has provided Schema Therapy training for adolescents and Schema Therapy for parents.
She is a member of the board of Schematherapie Vlaanderen (Belgium), supporting the development of Schema Therapy training in Flanders. She is member of the scientific committee of the Dutch Schema Therapy Society.
